Job Description
Eagle Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Paint Prep Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing aircraft surfaces for painting, ensuring proper adhesion and a high-quality finish. The Paint Prep Specialist will perform chemical stripping, sanding, taping, and surface treatments while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a team environment, and understands the importance of precision and efficiency in aircraft refinishing.
Key Responsibilites
- Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by taping, sanding, chemically stripping, and treating surfaces.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures to ensure compliance and workplace safety.
- Maintain and organize paint supplies, tools, and equipment to support efficient operations.
- Work with speed and attention to detail to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure surfaces are properly prepped before painting.
- Keep the work area clean and organized while adhering to environmental and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the paint and completions team to ensure seamless workflow.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the department.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in aircraft, automotive, or industrial paint preparation is preferred.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used in paint preparation.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform surface preparation and visual inspections.
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Compliance
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to pass drug screening and TSA background screening.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
